Phantastic Phils

Larger-Than-Life Groundhog Statues
The "Phantastic Phils" are a collection of over 40 whimsical, six-foot-tall fiberglass statues of Punxsutawney Phil, the world-famous weather-predicting groundhog. Each statue is uniquely decorated by local artists to reflect various themes, aspects of Punxsutawney's heritage, and community pride. These statues are displayed throughout Punxsutawney, offering both residents and visitors a delightful and artistic exploration of the town.

The initiative began in 2004 with the debut of "Phillage," the first Phantastic Phil statue, distinguished by its top hat. Since then, the collection has grown, with each statue showcasing a different design, ranging from comical to serious interpretations. This project not only adds artistic flair to the town but also celebrates its rich cultural heritage.
